1909
The Mytholmroyd Wesleyan Sunday School Cricket Club was formed in 1894 and joined the Hebden Bridge League in 1895. The club initially played on a variety of grounds, including Bent, Redacre, and the Holmes, before settling at a ground on Scout Road in 1909.
1933
In 1933 they changed their name to Mytholmroyd Methodists Sunday School Cricket Club.

The Mytholmroyd Methodists Sunday School Cricket Club purchased the Scout Road ground in 1953 and built a new pavilion in 1963.

The pavilion building was used as a changing rooms, home on one side, away on the other.

1990 Calderdale Council lease land from Mytholmroyd Methodist Church on a 10 year term.
2002
Cricket pitch and children’s play area visible in early satellite imagery

June 2004: Children’s playground and cricket pitch put up for sale by Mytholmroyd Methodist Church
July 2004:
A number of people volunteered to form a committee for a new organisation called ‘Scout Road Community Group’.
Mytholmroyd Methodist Church defers the sale and gives the community 3 months to raise the funds needed to buy the playground and cricket pitch.
The committee registered ‘Scout Road Community Group’ as a charity and fundraising started in earnest.
October 2004:
Bid submitted, and accepted for the purchase of Scout Road Cricket Ground and Playground.
The National Playing Fields Association (now Fields in Trust) confirmed they would act as custodians for perpetuity, and the charity ‘Scout Road Community Group’, would deal with local management issues and act as the site’s trustees.
2009
